Foundations: The Power of Three Love Series Page 17

Her green eyes, emerald as though we were in fucking Oz, flashed a hooded and hungry gaze for the briefest of seconds. The loose locks of her wavy hair framed her face as if she were the Mona Lisa herself. Small little freckles scattered across her nose told me that as tough as this woman acted, there was still an innocence that cried for tenderness.

In this beautiful creature before me was the future I’d fought against. In her, I saw that picket fence, the daughter with curly hair that would send Arden and me to purchase several guns. The little boy who questioned his mother at every turn, but even in his tenacity, she’d love him as she loved me. In her, I could still imagine another child, boy or girl, it didn’t matter, who would cause us so much laughter and joy in our lives as did the dad he or she would mimic. This was something I fought against and didn’t understand I needed until now.

Her head fell in the crook of my neck. Her hand found passage to my chin, rubbing the scruff I hadn’t worried about shaving for a couple of days. She slipped her hand down to my belt, only to work its way up my undershirt toward my abs. “Daimen, I can’t promise I’ll stop, and we can’t do this to Arden.”

I pulled back less than an inch. “Little girl, Arden wants this. He wants us to find our own way together for now.”

I missed her closeness when she broke our contact. “What? I thought you’re both a package deal.”

My laughter found its way through my chest. “Yes, that’s right, and we sure as fuck will be all together tomorrow, but for now, I want to make love to you, but only if you’re ready. If you aren’t, then I can wait.”

I didn’t miss the little jump she made when she hurdled into my arms. Encasing the beauty of her body, I turned and carried her to my bed—Arden’s and my bed.

The second I crawled on top of her, my phone rang, and I only answered it because it was near Ell. Looking at the caller ID, I chastised, “You have fucking horrible timing, jackass.” I smiled at Ell who was aware it had to be Arden on the phone.

“Honey, are you with her?” he asked.

“Trying, but this phone call is getting in the way,” I added.

“Can you put it on speaker?” Though it sounded like a question, it was much more. In his words, I heard him almost begging.

I chuckled. “Already going to let her know what a dirty and kinky bastard you are?” I didn’t even move the mouth piece when I looked at Ell. “He wants to be on speakerphone.” My spare hand was already under her tank top, twisting her nipples. When she nodded with a smile because I must have made her mute with the pleasure I was imparting, I replied, “Okay, babe. But you can’t be making demands.”

“Fine. Just let me listen—but, Ell, just know tomorrow, you’ll be both of ours—got it?”

She nodded again. “She agreed, babe. She’s too busy to speak.” A moan was all I got from Arden as I reached over to put the phone on the nightstand. “Now, beautiful, we need to free those tits of yours.” I leaned her up just enough to pull her tank top off. “Fuck, just like you, those are the most beautiful tits I’ve ever seen.” Again, all I heard was a moan from Arden on the other line.

With both hands in control again, one finger circled her clit. I could sit here all day long, watching her writhe in pleasure. Fuck, I could make this my job and never tire of it. “Fuck, beautiful, you’re so wet.” Switching to my thumb with one hand to work her clit, I pushed two fingers inside her. “Don’t come, little girl,” I instructed.

“I … need to … please.” Her little whimpers caused me to lean over and grab a condom from the nightstand.

“No, I want to be inside you when you come. This’ll be quick and rough, beautiful, but we’ll do it again.”

“Ah, fuck,” Arden said from the phone.

With my condom on, I thrust inside her. “Hell, fuck, shit, harder.” It was all my girl said, over and over again until her pussy clenched around my cock and creamed it so hard, I too came.

Falling next to her, I pulled her close to me, “Sorry, it’ll be longer next time.” I reached for the phone. “Arden, baby, can we talk tomorrow?”

“Yeah, that was fucking hot. I love you.” I ended the call because right now, all I wanted was for it to be Ell and me.

  “Ell …”

She pushed herself up on her elbow. “Shit, Daimen, that was hot and controlling and rough. All things in you that I’m falling in love with. It was all I could ask for with you, and I wouldn’t want it any different.”

In her words were the start of our future—Arden’s, hers, and mine.

I beat Scarlet in with the hope that my time with Andrew would go off without a hitch, and I’d be on the road by nine. Deciding to drive, we could head home whenever we wanted to on Sunday or Monday morning, depending on next week’s workload and all the sex I was hoping we’d have.

My first order of business, returning emails, was met. It was barely eight when I was about to call Andrew and conclude my day at the office. With a knock on the door, I assumed it was Scarlet or even Andrew. “Come in,” I yelled.

“I assume Daimen isn’t here since you said he was at the lake house yesterday.” A voice from my past had my eyes darting up quickly. Standing and bumping my knee, I looked into the eyes of Lana.

“Lana, what in the world are you doing? Your husband has you on such a short leash. How’d you get here?” The question was delivered flatly.

“I was hoping I could talk to you and maybe Daimen. Or were you just lying to us about Daimen being gone so I’d leave him alone?”

“No, he’s still at the lake house.” Crap, I thought. Why did I tell her that? “And I don’t make a habit of lying, Lana.” She was truly manipulative. “What can I do for you? Does Spence know you’re here?”

“Nope. I have Spencer, but I miss you two.” I guess she was diving into her last-ditch attempt, and I gritted my teeth at the fucking nightmare that was in front of me. She was out of her ever-loving batshit crazy mind if she thought I’d allow that. “I miss you all so much. I should have never made Daimen choose between us.” The tears falling down her face looked real, but who could tell.

She walked around the desk and grabbed my hand. “I miss you too. You may not have felt loved like Spence and Daimen were, but we had fun together.”

I pulled my hand quickly from her grasp. “That’s true, Lana. I did care for you deeply, but you left Daimen to grieve for you and Spencer. I watched as the strongest man I’d ever known fell apart at the seams.”

Pinching her nose, she almost screeched. “I thought I needed to live a traditional life, but you two were right; we choose our own happiness,” she said, walking up to me and placing her hand on my chest.

“Your mind games won’t work with me. You’re married, and Daimen and I have healed. We’ve moved on. And we can’t go back to what we had, Lana.” And we certainly didn’t want to, but I wouldn’t add insult to injury.

“You’ve moved on? What does that mean? You always wanted a woman in the mix. Is that how you moved on?”

“I won’t discuss it. Go back to your husband, Lana, and leave Daimen alone.” My tone was more than curt.

“Talk to Daimen. Tell him how I feel.” Her plea was almost believable.

I walked her to the door and opened it to indicate she needed to leave. “Bye, Lana.” Then I closed the door in her face.

The meeting with Andrew was almost over and just as he paused to ask me a question, which I was positive was of a personal nature, a buzz through the intercom scared us both. “Arden, Spence is here to see you. He won’t take no for an answer, reminding me this is his business too.” Her voice was low and controlled, just as Scarlet had always been. “I tried to tell him you were in a meeting, but he won’t take no for an answer.”

Shit, I groaned internally. “Tell him to wait in his office, and I will be in there shortly, Scar.”

  “You sure?”

“Yeah, I got it. Thanks, Scarlet.
It was a conversation I knew had to happen. Looking at Andrew, I asked, “How much do you know about our other partner, Spencer Alders?”

Looking up from his designs, he answered, “Nothing. I know he started working from a different office after he got married.”

“Do me a favor. If you ever run into his wife or him, never mention the slightest anything about Ell, okay?”

  “Sure, professionally or personally?”

“Both, but personally especially,” I stressed.

“No problem.” Though he raised one eyebrow out of what I’d guessed was curiosity, he agreed.

“They’re very manipulative. Speaking of them, I need to go see what bug crawled up his ass this morning. Work out that sprinkler system problem in our second building while I’m gone. After that, make sure we hit the items that have to be taken care of next week with the builders. We can table the rest of the items till the following week.”

“Sure, no problem,” he replied, scrambling for his supplies.

Walking into the lobby that housed our offices, including Spencer’s, I stopped to chat with Scarlet and asked, “Professional or personal?”

“Um, I’m sure it has to do with Lana’s visit this morning.”

“So personal. Aww, fucking great.” I knocked on Spencer’s door but didn’t wait for an invitation.

  “What’s up, Spence?”

“What the hell did you say to my wife?” His eyes already had me pinned down and were beating the shit out of me.

“What did she tell you she said to me?”

“That she missed you all and wanted to see you,” he answered.

“Um, once again, you’re not getting all the information. Listen, your marriage is your marriage to take care of. You both knew the risks when you chose this life without us. Now, we’ve moved on, and I think Lana’s jealous, knowing we’re doing fine without her.”

Spencer stood from behind his desk, walking over to me. I’d expected for him to take a swing, but he pulled at my suit jacket, bringing me into his space. “I need you both back. Lana is bored with just me, but I love her so much. The four of us, again—that’s what it should have always been. Please?” He wasn’t done, reaching between my legs, he cupped a feel at my groin. “I only wanted to leave after you and Daimen got together because I felt left out. I want you both like you want Daimen, and he wants you.”

His plea was out of character for Spence and so was the revelation that he had true feelings for us beyond our normal friendship. I was about to tell him to fuck off when he went from my dick to my head, rubbing at the jawline of my face. “I was so ashamed of the feelings I had for you both. I wanted you so much—the way you wanted each other. I’d see you sink your cock inside Daimen, and I’d ask myself, why don’t they want me like that?” His lips leaned into my own as I backed up, leaving him uneven on his feet, minus my touch.

“You must be out of your ever-fucking mind.” As I pushed him away from me and my dick, which was as limp as a biscuit, my warning was controlled. “Now, I want to be perfectly clear. Leave me alone, leave Daimen alone, and sure as fuck, leave us both alone.”

“She’s convinced you have another girl.”

I wouldn’t dignify his somewhat question with a response. “Now do me a favor, make sure Lana stays away from us too. You both are meant for one another—crazy as fuck.”

Walking straight out of the reception area, I turned to Scarlet. “I’m done for the day. Call me if you need me.” Leaving Spencer to his own demons, I didn’t give a shit. We had a good thing, and he destroyed it. It wasn’t my fault we were moving on. In two hours, I’d have the two who mattered most to me. And that was all that was on my mind. I put my Land Rover in drive, weaving through the streets of Chicago to get to them. To my future.

  Daimen

At eleven o’clock, after rifling through my emails and making me a cheese omelet, I checked on Elliot. She was still snoozing in our bed where I’d left her.

In need of a quick workout before I tackled a couple of phone calls, I made my way to the gym. The second I was on the treadmill, the door to the gym opened. Expecting Ell, I was greeted with the handsome face of my man.

Closing the space between us, I took him in my arms and stole a kiss before he had a chance to do the same to me. “I fucking missed you.”

“Not as much as I missed you,” Arden said, this time kissing me deeply and tenderly. He pulled down my gym shorts while he unbuckled his pants. He was not waiting for the bed; the gym bench would work quite fine. “Can I have control; can I take charge?” Arden asked. And how could I deny him this? It was fucking sexy, once in a great while, to see his possessive side come out. He smacked my ass, then I sat down on the bench as he enveloped my penis fully in his mouth. “I’m on top today, you fucking handsome bastard,” Arden began. Again, because sex was so important to us both, he stood, leaving me to miss his mouth. He grabbed the lube from a supply cabinet, his eyes on fire as he walked back to me. “Bend over the bench.” I obeyed, but just this once. With my body over it, his cock stretched me, pushing farther and farther into me. He was ruthless, almost angry, and I got off on angry fucking. This might not be gentle lovemaking, but it was a side of Arden I saw so seldom, and it made my cock ache against the bench.

“I can’t get enough of you, honey. I want to fuck all day. Fuck you in the shower. Fuck you on the table; in the car. And when we are done, fuck you more.” My body was reacting to his hard words, words I’d say. Actions I’d want to take part in. I could almost see him unravel in the mirror in front of the workout bench. His eyes were glossed over. Firm eye contact found my own, and he was wild as a boar. His fingers danced across my skin, the only gentle part of this midmorning fucking session. “I needed this.” It was all he spoke, an impatience pushing deeper in side of me. With one last push, Arden yelled, “Fuck yeah, you arrogant bastard. How’d that feel?”

I turned on a dime, my hands finding Arden’s hair when he stated, “Sorry if that was a bit quick and a little rough, but I needed to be in you quickly.”

“That was more than a little rough. No, that was rough and hot all rolled up into one fucking fantastic sex burrito.” Arden couldn’t help but laugh at my analogy.

“Sex burrito? Nice one, honey. I was hoping to give Ell another show. Where is our little voyeur?” Arden looked around as though she might be hiding in the closet.

“Still asleep last time I checked, but if she is awake, she’s probably showering. That chick showers more than anyone I’ve ever met in my life. She may be a bit high maintenance.”

“Really?” Arden asked. “Well, I guess she’s a girl. I bet she smells nice.”

I smiled. “Too fucking good sometimes. I want to fucking eat her alive.”

His eyes were hooded at the thought of Elliot. “Speaking of our girl, let’s go surprise her. Get dressed and let’s meet her in the bedroom. Is she in ours?”

“Yes. After last night, I was not letting her out of my sight.”

“Maybe she’ll walk in on us. Let’s go find her,” Arden suggested, and that was certainly a hope of mine.

  * * *

We snuck into our master bathroom, holding each other tight. “So you think our girl is high maintenance?”

“A little, certainly,” I admitted. “I’m falling for her so quickly, it is almost scary.”

He touched my face. “I want you to know if this doesn’t work out, I won’t push for another woman in our relationship. It’ll be you and me, and we’ll start that family. But my heart already belongs to her.”

“I can’t fathom a future without her, babe.” I stroked his face, bringing him in for a gentle kiss.

“For now”—Arden paused—“we need a shower. Want to join me?”

“I need one, that’s for sure; company is a bonus.” I stood, pulling him up with me.

“It always is,” Arden said, grabbing my ass as he walked around me.

“You’ll pay for that, I hope
you know.”

“I like this idea.” And Arden winked at me. With Ell in our room and our bed and Arden in front of me, my heart could overflow. Listen to me, I sounded like a fucking pussy; but a happy pussy at that.

I was surprised walking past the bathroom that Daimen had the door shut. He must be in the shower. Then a thought occurred to me to barge in and watch him, but I continued to the kitchen—the smell of coffee calling me.

I poured us some needed java in two cups and loaded a couple of croissants Helen had dropped off earlier onto a plate. I wanted to do something for Daimen since he and Arden had gone out of their way to spoil me.

At the master, the door was shut. I knocked, but after my night with Daimen, I internally said, Screw this. I heard voices, plural, and before I could look away, I saw Daimen had Arden against the wall, pushing his fantastically huge and scary cock inside him. I put down the tray of food and drinks and sat on the couch, watching them. Both men were so into this, they didn’t hear the clink of the tray on the coffee table in front of me.

Daimen’s one hand was below Arden’s neck, pushing him in the wall. The other one was cupping his ass. It looked like both pleasure and torture at the same time. They were giving me a show, so I decided to return the favor, once they realized I was in the room.

Pulling down my boy shorts and lifting my flimsy shirt, I spread my legs, putting my pussy on full display. With one hand on my pussy lips and the other tweaking my nipple, I purposely let a slight moan escape my mouth when two sets of eyes turned to me.

“I told you she was our little voyeur,” Daimen claimed, still with his hands pushing against Arden’s body. “Fuck me, little girl. Let me finish with him, and I’ll come over and take care of you.”
